Wallace A. Goodstein, MD, FACS

Wallace A. Goodstein, MD, FACS is a Board-Certified Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon. With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Goodstein is recognized as a foremost authority in plastic surgery and an innovator, having invented a cannula used for surgery. He has made national television appearances including expert commentary on Dateline NBC. Dr. Goodstein’s 30 years in practice has enabled him to assemble a team with more than 40 years of combined experience in cosmetic surgery, assuring professionalism, patient safety, and personalized care.
Dr. Goodstein is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the City College of New York. He earned his Medical Degree from the Downstate Medical Center, State University of New York. He completed an internship in Surgery at New York Hospital, Cornell University Medical Center. Dr. Goodstein completed his First and Second Year General Surgery Residency at New York University, Bellevue Medical Center and Third and Fourth Year General Surgery at New York Medical College, Metropolitan Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. His Plastic Surgery Residency was performed at the University of Louisville Medical Center. Dr. Goodstein performed an additional Fellowship in Microsurgery at Ralph K. Davies Medical Center, San Francisco Medical Center with the late Harry Bunke, MD., the father of American Microsurgery.
Dr. Goodstein earned distinction as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Goodstein has held the academic appointment of Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA Medical Center. His numerous research projects and papers are published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
